LUPOPEDIA v0.1.x ships with a scripted migration flow. PORTUNUS connects directly to Crafty Syntax 3.7.4 / Sales Syntax 3.7.3 (or uses fresh CSV snapshots), validates integrity, and hydrates LUPOPEDIA’s Live Help module so operators keep working with no loss of context.
Step 1 — Connect & Snapshot
PORTUNUS opens the legacy database credentials (or reads the generated CSV bundle) and verifies table counts, character sets, and timestamps. Checksums and schema notes travel with the snapshot.
Step 2 — Validate
LUPOPEDIA’s installer runs dry-run validation: table counts, UTF-8 checks, timezone normalization, and attachment references are confirmed before any import occurs.
Step 3 — Import & Map
Departments map to LUPOPEDIA channels; Crafty/Sales Syntax operators migrate as human users (keeping their seats), and LUPOPEDIA lets you optionally add AI agents as co-operators without replacing the humans. Transcripts flow into the Live Help session viewer, lead tables hydrate the CRM module, and legacy IDs remain stored for audit trails.
Step 4 — Roll the Stone Away
The wizard produces a migration report, pauses the original install in read-only mode, and then brings LUPOPEDIA fully online when you approve. If anything feels off, rollback scripts slide the stone back so Crafty Syntax continues without disruption.
Security Advisory — Patch 3.7.0 Before Migrating
Crafty/Sales Syntax 3.7.0 carried a handful of minor reflected XSS security gaps that we closed in the 3.7.3 hardening release (republished as Crafty Syntax 3.7.4). If PORTUNUS detects a `livehelps.version = '3.7.0'` record it will pause the migration and point you at the patch bundle.
- Template sanitization: Hardened `livehelp_js.php` and layered pop-up templates to neutralize the minor reflected XSS vectors we discovered during LUPOPEDIA onboarding.
- Credential handling: Updated password hashing helpers so exported operator lists do not expose legacy MD5 digests.
- Visitor fingerprinting: Modernized proxy header inspection (`CF-Connecting-IP`, `True-Client-IP`, `X-Forwarded-*`) so audits trace the real person instead of the edge node.
